The 12 universal laws

“We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe, atomically.” – Neil deGrasse Tyson

While some refuse to accept this & others prefer not to think about such things, this is factual. An abundance of people, however, have trouble accepting facts and/or science when it coincides with their beliefs. I mean, 46% of Americans believe humans were created less than 10,000 years ago. FORTY-SIX-FUCKING-PERCENT! Goddamn. Modern humans alone have been around for at least 50,000 years! Shit, we weren’t even colonizing the Western Hemisphere 10,000 years ago! Check it out for yourself.

Anyhow, I know my last post regarded the “world within” and, whether you like it or not, I’m back with some more cosmic shit. Following are 12 universal laws:

Law 1 – The Law of Divine Oneness

We are all connected. Our every action will affect another person in some way, whether directly or indirectly.

Law 2 – The Law of Vibration

Everything in the universe vibrates. We are all connected at the lowest level to one another, though we may be vibrating at different speeds and frequencies. Negative thought processes produce negative vibrations, whereas positive thought processes produce positive vibrations. Bitch, don’t kill my vibe.

Law 3 – The Law of Action

Action must be taken in order to achieve what you wish to achieve. You must take the proper actions that support your thoughts, feelings and dreams within you in order for them to come to fruition. Two working hands do more than one thousand clasped in prayer.

Law 4 – The Law of Correspondence

The outer world corresponds to your inner world. Essentially, you create your own reality, and, as referenced in my previous (written) blog post, it starts with the world within.

Law 5 – The Law of Cause and Effect

Every event occurs as a result of another action. You reap what you sow. Get it how you live.

Law 6 – The Law of Compensation

Similar to cause and effect or karma; what goes around comes back around.

Law 7 – The Law of Attraction

‘Like attracts like,’ which means you will attract what you think and feel. You can bring about positive or negative results by focusing on positive or negative thoughts. Losers attract losers; winners attract winners, for example.

Law 8 – The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy

All energy is in motion and will eventually manifest into physical form. This means that you have the power to change your life situations by turning negative energy into positive energy or vice versa.

Law 9 – The Law of Relativity

All things are relative. Whether our experiences are positive or negative is based on how we relate these to situations in life. You might see something as difficult and, ultimately, create your own roadblock, or consciously choose to see something in a positive light and find a way.

Law 10 – The Law of Polarity

Everything in the universe has a polar opposite. Positives and negatives. Successes and failures. Losses and gains. We can transform undesirable thoughts by consciously controlling our thoughts.

Law 11 – The Law of Rhythm

Everything in the universe has its own rhythm which establishes seasons, cycles, stages of development and patterns. It’s important to be aware of when things start to work backwards in order to eliminate negative impact. It’s also important to be aware of when things are clicking on all cylinders so you can “ride the hot hand”.

Law 12 – The Law of Gender

Everything in nature has its masculine (yang) and feminine (yin) side, and these are the basis for all creation.

brain-cell-the-universe-birth-of-a-cell-death-of-a-star-eye-nebula

Your brain is like the universe; the totality of existence and all matter & energy. Just as the universe is immeasurable and filled with wonder, so is the brain. While it might appear that we know a fair amount about the brain, all things considered, this is simply not true.

Your eyes are similar to a nebula (interstellar cloud of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases) in the sense that the eyes are a reflection of what exists between or amongst your cells (stars). An ion is an atom or molecule in which there is an imbalance of protons and electrons, giving the atom a net positive or net negative charge.  You can tell a lot about a person by simply peering into their eyes.

These laws exist whether you “believe” them or not. Use them to your benefit, or don’t; I don’t really give a fuck.

“Gliding Above” and the “World Within”

What comes to mind when you think of maximizing individual potential? What is the key component/s? I deem “gliding above” to be absolutely essential. When I say “gliding above”, I mean gliding above the bullshit; drifting over the petty things, above the hate, envy, jealousy, greed, stupidity, ignorance, negativity…above everything, really.  I consider this to be the first step towards maximizing individual potential and capitalizing on happiness, self-growth (fiscally, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually), relationships, self-realization, and sovereignty.

Take a look at the number of people you observe or interact with day-to-day: What do you see? Worry, fear, sadness, lack of confidence, uncertainty, stress, anxiety in the body language and faces of most individuals. Occasionally, though, you come across that person who has it figured out. That person who just fucking floats. An Andy Dufresne-type.

“He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn’t normal around here. He strolled, like a man in a park without a care or a worry in the world, like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from this place.”

The only way to reach your full potential is to rid yourself of all inhibitions. To not stress over small things. To not care what the next man thinks. To be totally comfortable with yourself. To have your body and mind in tune with one another. To be in tune with the Universe. To be in control of your reality, which begins with having enough awareness to understand that you actually do control your reality. This reality comes from the mind, or, as Charles Haanel illustrates it in Part One of “The Master Key System”, the world within:

6. There is a world within—a world of thought and feeling and power; of light and life and beauty and, although invisible, its forces are mighty.

7. The world within is governed by mind. When we discover this world we shall find the solution for every problem, the cause for every effect; and since the world within is subject to our control, all laws, of power and possession are also within our control.

8. The world without is a reflection of the world within. What appears without is what has been found within. In the world within may be found infinite Wisdom, infinite Power, infinite Supply of all that is necessary, waiting for unfoldment, development and expression. If we recognize these potentialities in the world within they will take form within the world without.

9. Harmony in the world within will be reflected in the world without by harmonious conditions, agreeable surroundings, the best of everything. It is the foundation of health, and a necessary essential to all greatness, all power, all attainment, all achievement and all success.

10. Harmony in the world within means the ability to control our thoughts, and to determine for ourselves how any experience is to affect us.

35. A majority of mankind lives in the world without; few have found the world within, and yet it is the world within that makes the world without; it is therefore creative and everything which you find in your world without has been created by you in the world within.

38. All growth is from within. This is evident in all nature. Every plant, every animal, every human being is a living testimony to this great law, and the error of the ages is in looking for strength or power from without.

It all starts with the mind. Look at the people who are constantly “sick”…Always some kind of ailment. Is this a result of bad luck or misfortune? No. It is a result of being mentally sick.

To revisit the aforementioned passage: “The world within is governed by mind. When we discover this world we shall find the solution for every problem, the cause for every effect; and since the world within is subject to our control, all laws, of power and possession are also within our control.” This could not be more on point.

The folks who “glide above” have not only found, but have harnessed the power of this world within. Harmonious. High-spirited, carefree, looking at the bigger picture. The realization that you create and determine how you want to experience life, and that this experience is going to be a good one. Walking without a care in the world because there isn’t a care in the world. Not sweating anything, not worried about hypothetical situations, not fucking around with the drama. Knowing that it always works out. Always has; always will. Simplifying things instead of making them more complicated. You get the drift.

Look, I’m not saying I’ve mastered this or anything; few have, but I certainly feel like I strengthen and learn more about my “world within” on a daily basis. I’ve also observed the effect this has on the “world without” and am beginning to understand how to fully utilize the power of this, and I must say, it’s incredibly fascinating and exceptionally exciting.

The Meaning of Life

A good friend of mine recently posed the question “what’s the meaning of life?” This is a commonly-asked question, as individuals seek to find their “purpose” in life, in which the “answer”, of course, can only be answered subjectively. Considering the topic, I figured my blog would be a fine platform to post my answer.

Look, it’s no secret that people wish to feel like there’s significance or rationale for their existence. I believe a number of religious folks are religious for that reason…they want to feel “special” or “hand-picked” by some higher being, like they were placed on this earth for a specific reason.

/refrains from totally slandering religion by making reference to martyrdom, child sodomy, being responsible for most number of deaths, ever, crime-belief correlation, IQ-belief correlation, % of religious inmates, etc.

Ok, back to the meaning of life. What is the meaning of life, you ask? Well, the answer is simple: fuck bitches, get money. But on a serious tip, I can’t personally respond to this question simply, as it is multi-faceted.  This is somewhat ironic, as I consider simplicity to be the ultimate sophistication, so I’ll try to stick to my principles and bullet-point:

1. To consider that there might not be a meaning to life, and that it doesn’t matter. The cosmos is so wondrous, mesmerizing and beautiful…

…and many of us pay absolutely no attention to this. Zero…we don’t even stop to think about this shit from time-to-time. Anyway, let’s be rational about shit and assume that there is not some bearded God who hand-picked you to carry out some specific duty, because, well, that’s just silly (I mean, seriously? Dating back to the beginning of recorded history (some 6,000 years ago), historians have catalogued over 3,700 supernatural beings, of which 2,870 could be considered divine beings, and you reject 2,869 of them! That makes perfect sense!). The fact that you are living is fucking incredible, and this is incredible without a God. The fact that we, as a species, have evolved (some of us) to where we are at today is fucking astonishing. I think about how amazing everything is on a regular basis, and the occurrence of these thoughts is only increasing as I continue to learn and appreciate everything more.

“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don’t let anybody tell you different.” – Vonnegut

Maybe so. Either way, I’m cool with it.

2. I’m a bit of an ethical hedonist/utilitarian, in the sense that my aim is to maximize happiness/pleasure and reduce suffering/stress.

Being miserable is no way to live your life, and, ultimately, YOU are in control. You’re the one that decides if you want to be a grumpy and depressing fuck. I also hope to make others’ lives better if at all possible. Don’t get me wrong…self-preservation first and foremost, but if I like you or care for you, I would certainly like to maximize your happiness, too. This doesn’t mean that I’m going to change what I do or how I go about things necessarily, rather, I’ll let you ride the positive energy train with me. I hope to leave my fellow humans’ lives a little bit better off than they were before meeting me. Again, this doesn’t mean I’m going to change how I handle myself or how I interact with people. Some people love you, some people hate you. It is what it is. And for the people I love who love me, I want to make your life as enjoyable as I possibly can, and, hope that it’s mutually beneficial.

3. To be true to myself and to continue to try to understand myself and the cosmos as best I can.

4. To fully embrace LIFE and eliminate any worry about petty or inevitable things, such as death

I’ve learned to change my view on certain things that happen to everyone and are inevitable. Take death, for example. The shit is inevitable, yet it’s almost always referred to as horrible or tragic. Well, fuck that. Certain situation; yes, however, I don’t view death in general as terrible, nor do I really want anyone to mourn over my death (whenever that time may come)… I want you to celebrate the life of me, dammit!

It’s sad that so many people essentially live their lives, the only lives we know to be true, preparing for death or spend their time being worried about this and that and what the next person thinks about them.  Well, I don’t give a fuck what you think, personally. I’m going to do what I want to do. Judge me all you want. I’ve been called “crazy” and many other things before, that’s nothing new.  Crazy to your simple-minded ass, maybe! Well, maybe I think your dumbass is crazy. Or maybe I am a little fuckin’ crazy!  Maybe Bobby’s a little cuckoo! Haha. At any rate, real people do what they want to do and fake people do what they can.

I could go on and on, but this shit is already running on too long.  Simply put, the meaning of life, to me?  Enjoy it. Embrace it. Love myself and others. Try my best to leave the world better off than it was prior to my existence.

What is the meaning of life to you? Feel free to share.

An Absolute MUST WATCH Series – Cosmos: A Personal Voyage

I recently subscribed to Netflix and was more than thrilled to find the Emmy and Peabody Award winning series, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, in its library.  As a result, I’ve been re-watching this incredible series once again, which reminded me to communicate once more that this is a MUST WATCH series.  In all seriousness, it should almost be required.  It’s important to note that this has nothing to do with my personal opinion.  The series is must watch due to the subject matter and the way it is communicated to its viewers.

“ We wish to pursue the truth no matter where it leads. But to find the truth, we need imagination and skepticism both. We will not be afraid to speculate, but we will be careful to distinguish speculation from fact. The cosmos is full beyond measure of elegant truths; of exquisite interrelationships; of the awesome machinery of nature.”

The above quote is from the Cosmos introduction (video at the bottom of the page), in which astrophysicist Carl Sagan (left) gives viewers an idea of what the series is all about.  Sagan leads the audience on a 13-part series of cosmic voyages that cover a wide variety of scientific subjects.  The origin of life, our position in the universe, biological evolution, natural selection, ancient civilizations, issues with the theory of intelligent design, DNA, chemical elements, constellations, how some galaxies form, the impact comets and asteroids have had on our planet, time, Einstein’s theory of relativity, wormholes, black holes, the human brain and the evolution of the brain, radioactivity, cosmic rays, gravity, ideas about the structure of the universe, extraterrestrial life, the future of humanity, and much, much more.

The way Carl Sagan communicates certain scientific subjects (which may appear so complicating to understand on the surface) and makes them easily comprehendible to the average viewer is absolutely incredible.  In addition to Sagan’s superb guidance on the cosmic voyage (seriously, it’s impossible to dislike Carl Sagan), the series was commended for its use of groundbreaking special effects, which allows Sagan to make certain subjects even easier to understand as he takes viewers through environments that are actually models, as opposed to full-sized sets.

I’ve got nothing else to say, really.  The show is mind-blowing.  Simply mind-blowing.  There’s really no good reason to be against watching this show.  Yes, Carl Sagan was an atheist, but this is irrelevant.  There is ZERO bias.  As I quoted earlier, the journey Cosmos: A Personal Voyage takes viewers on is in search of the truth, no matter where it leads.  It’s about as objective as you can get, and Sagan certainly distinguishes speculation from fact.

If you have no interest in learning about the existence of the Universe, your own existence, notable historical events, the importance of separating fact from speculation, the future of mankind and our obligation to properly use science and technology, or the wonders of the cosmos in general and how incredible everything that exists is, then you should probably end your life.

The Cosmos intro:

“If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe” – Sagan
